Bournemouth - Seaside Guide
Bournemouth really is a South Coast gem - renowned for its seven miles of golden beaches, azure waters and beautiful parks and gardens, Bournemouth mixes new and traditional to ensure you are truly spoilt for choice no matter what you enjoy or what you want to do – whether it be taking it easy with one toe dipped in the sea or taking in local knowledge at the numerous engaging local galleries, museums and historical buildings.
Bournemouth Pier has been named the best beach in the UK from a survey of 171 resorts by ENCAMS the group behind Keep Britain Tidy. It scored a fantastic 99 out of a possible 100 – impressive! It’s no wonder then that on a hot sunny day, Bournemouth beaches can attract up to 100,000 people and recent research carried out by Bournemouth University Market Research Group concluded that the area’s cleanliness, amenities and general attractiveness were what visitors liked most about the seafront.
As for the nightlife, Bournemouth is no slouch! The town comes alive to offer a fantastic selection of bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants. Or perhaps take in the cinema or local theatrical shows.
