Diamond ratings are awarded to guest houses at ratings from 1 through to 5 diamonds, 5 being the luxury end of the market. Guest houses are given a rating from 1 to 5 in each of the following areas:
- Cleanliness and Housekeeping
- Service and Hospitality
- Bedroom Facilities
- Bathroom, Shower, WC and en-suite Facilities
- Food Quality and Service
- Public Rooms such as guest lounges
- Safety and Security, Exterior and Interior Appearance and upkeep
The final rating represents how well the guest house/B&B meets the above standards overall.
